Spider on a Traffic light
These were completely spontaneous and the results are quite interesting. I was going down the street and i saw a spider web on traffic light, due to the red colour, it seemed almost other-worldly. So I took out my large zoom (200mm), set the ISO to 1600 (it was getting dark) and set my aperture to f/5.6. As for my shutter speed, I had to set set it to 1/100 of a second despite there being little light. I needed a fast shutter speed in order to capture the sharpness of the web. What I didn't expect was that the spider would come and pose for me. It was fun to take these for a number of reasons: experimenting with composition, taking photographs of a traffic light next to a zebra crossing and stepping out of my comfort zone.
